WORKFORCE INNOVATION OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM

Character & Leadership Programs

Helping youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.

Health & Life Skills

These initiatives develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.

VIRTUAL HEALTHY HABITS PROGRAMMING

The Arts Programs

Programs in this core area enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.

VIRTUAL ART PROGRAMMING

Sports, Fitness, & Recreation

These Club programs help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills.

ATHLETICS PROGRAMS

Specialized Programs

These initiatives focus on meeting the significant and specific needs identified within Boys & Girls Clubs. Their broad scope complements several or all of our core program areas. These programs cover a broad spectrum from suicide prevention, drug abuse and use prevention, and social and emotional skills building.

Money Matters

Money Matters is a a financial literacy program designed to help youth plan for their financial future.

Workforce Training and Education Programs- WIOA

This program is geared towards teens in 14-18 (19 if a high school senior) who are in need of assistance to re-enter high school, graduate on time, complete or start their GED, and receive training to enable them to enter the workforce successfully and become self sufficient and provide for themselves in meaningful ways. This program focuses on training, education for self financial stability, as well as provides for mentorship to move forward in a career path and make good choices for themselves.
